Professional Qualifications
I have a Masters in Humanistic Person Centred Psychotherapy having trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute. I also have a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the University of Derby, and a Masters in Human Relations from the University of Nottingham.
I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and I subscribe to their Ethical Principles and Code of Professional Conduct. The UKCP's website can be found here:

It may also be of interest to note that I have completed "The Daring Way"™ on line training which is based on the research of Dr Brené Brown and helps to bring about change, by focusing on a person's experiences. During the process topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame and worthiness are explored. A person's thoughts, emotions and behaviours that may be holding them back are examined with a view to identifying new choices and practices that can help a person move towards a more authentic and wholehearted way of living. The main aim is to focus on developing shame resilience skills and a daily practice that transforms the way a person lives, loves, parents and leads. Further information is available at
